Amplifying Creator Voices Through Sonic Streaming

In today’s saturated content landscape, creators struggle to stand out and build sustainable careers. Traditional podcasting requires significant technical expertise and investment, limiting accessibility. Recognizing this challenge, I collaborated with the ATTN.LIVE team to design a user-friendly platform empowering creators to seamlessly live podcast, generate NFTs, and automate media distribution.

Research Methods

• Competitive Analysis: Analyzed existing live podcasting platforms and NFT marketplaces to identify strengths, weaknesses, and user trends.
• User Interviews: Conducted in-depth interviews with creators from diverse backgrounds to understand their pain points, motivations, and content creation workflows.
• Expert Interviews: Consulted with audio engineers, podcasting specialists, and blockchain developers to gain insights into technical considerations and user experience best practices.

Personas

Relevant user personas representing key user groups:

• Ministry Preacher: Father Williams, a charismatic preacher, seeks to extend his ministry’s reach beyond physical sermons. He wants a platform that allows him to live stream sermons, offer faith-based content as NFTs, and automate distribution to various online channels.
• Podcaster: Mike Jones, a seasoned radio personality, wants to expand his podcast audience beyond traditional radio listeners. He’s interested in exploring live features to connect with listeners in real-time and using NFTs to offer exclusive content or behind-the-scenes glimpses.
• Educator Dr. David Chen, a young and tech-savvy professor, seeks to engage students beyond the classroom through interactive live lectures and discussions. He wants a platform that’s easy to use and allows him to share supplemental materials like slides or PDFs as NFTs.
• Young performer Sarah Johnson, a rising standup comedian, wants to build an online presence and connect with fans outside of live performances. She’s interested in using ATTN.LIVE to host live comedy shows, offer exclusive standup routines as NFTs, and potentially create a community for her fans.

User Pain Points

• Technical Complexity: Existing platforms often require technical knowledge and equipment, posing a barrier for entry for less tech-savvy creators.
• Limited Monetization Options: Creators struggle to find sustainable income streams beyond traditional advertising models.
• Fragmented Workflows: Juggling multiple platforms for live podcasting, editing, and distribution creates inefficiencies.

Ideate and Define

Based on user needs and pain points, the following design principles were established:

• Simplicity: Streamline the user interface and user experience for ease of use by creators of all technical skill levels.
• Integration: Integrate live podcasting, NFT creation, and media distribution functionalities within a single platform.
• Monetization: Offer diverse monetization options beyond traditional advertising, including NFT-based revenue models.

Ideate and Prototype

Through iterative user testing and feedback, the following features were refined and implemented:

• One-click live streaming: Creators can launch live podcasts with minimal setup, eliminating technical barriers.
• NFT creation wizard: A user-friendly interface empowers creators to mint NFTs for their podcasts or exclusive content.
• Automated distribution: The platform automatically distributes recorded podcasts and NFTs to various channels.
• Integrated analytics: Creators gain valuable insights into audience engagement and performance metrics.

Outcome

ATTN.LIVE empowers creators to focus on their passion while automating technical aspects and unlocking new monetization opportunities. The platform simplifies live podcasting, NFT creation, and distribution, fostering accessibility and supporting diverse creators in building successful content careers. As a UI/UX designer on this project, I am proud to have contributed to a solution that empowers creators, fosters innovation in the podcasting landscape, and amplifies their voices in the digital age.
